March 23 & 24, 2002 - Enough with the Damn Landings

I could tell that Michael was beginning to wonder a bit at my landings.  This weekend we stuck to Livermore both days and just did pattern work.  My landings showed incremental improvements but it was clear that I wasn't going to solo in March or even early April.

We did start to talk about what I needed to get done for solo.  I had finished my ground school in early March.  During this stretch I took advantage of my unemployment to study and took my FAA written.  I passed on my first try with an 84%.  Well above passing but not up to my normal standards.

It's hard to remember a lot about the flying in this stretch - just landings and more landings.
